Copperleaf Custom Builders of Wyoming, Inc. was founded on these ideals: Founder, Jeff Harmsen, saw the need for customer interaction during the building process that larger firms just don't provide. It doesn't end there! With over 25 years of experience and oversight of more than 2000 homes along the Front Range of Colorado and in Wyoming, you can rest assured that this experience is working for you!
New Owner, Ben Turner has worked in the construction industry for years, several right alongside Jeff. Ben believes in integrity, transparency and strives daily to be the best and put the best work out there. Copperleaf is a veteran and family owned and operated business that looks forward to building your dream project!
Meet Our Staff
Ben Turner - Owner
After serving in the US Navy as a dog handler, attended college at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. While attending school, he worked for a large civil contractor in Alaska, building multi-million dollar construction projects. After graduating top in his class of Construction Management moved to Texas to work for another large civil construction firm. Was recruited shortly after to another firm and spent a few years building on the successes there. During Covid, the family decided to return home to Wyoming and work for Jeff. Ben has since took over Copperleaf and remains excited about the opportunity to move his family back home, to build the best projects Casper has to offer, and continue to improve as a whole.
Anita Waddell - Office Manager
Grew up in Casper, left for a short service in the Navy. Graduated from Colorado Tech with a bachelor's in administrative management. Family of 7 and grateful for the opportunity to work for Copperleaf.
Jason Morrison - General Superintendent
A native of Wyoming, this seasoned professional brings over 30 years of specialized experience in high-end residential custom building, comprehensive job management, and commercial construction throughout the state. With a deep-rooted commitment to quality craftsmanship and efficient project delivery, Jason has successfully overseen numerous complex builds, always guided by the core philosophy that prioritizing clients, colleagues, and subcontractors is the foundation for achieving exceptional results in the Wyoming building industry.
Javen Shopp - Assistant Superintendent
Javen Shopp is a dedicated member of the team, focusing his efforts in producing high-end custom residential and commercial projects. He works closely with our trade partners, suppliers, and clients to ensure delivery on projects to high levels of quality, craftsmanship, and design intent. Javen coordinates schedules, oversees subcontractor performance, and conducts site evaluations to maintain consistency and quality at every stage of construction.
